6-5-4: DOG LICENSE REQUIRED; VOLUNTARY LICENSING OF OTHER HOUSEHOLD PETS PERMITTED:

(A)   The keeping of any adult dog (over the age of 6 months) or a juvenile dog (an animal from 2 months of age to 6 months of age) within the city is hereby forbidden and made an infraction, unless the owner, custodian, keeper or person harboring the dog shall procure a license from the city for such dog. Other household pets may be licensed at the option of the owner hereof.

(D)   Applicants for an altered dog license or for a lifetime dog license shall be required to swear under penalties of perjury that the animal has in fact been altered.
