55.19 STERILIZATION.

No unclaimed dog or cat shall be released for adoption without being neutered or spayed or without a written agreement from the adopter guaranteeing that such animal will be neutered or spayed within 15 days.

55.21 ANIMAL ADOPTION.

Any person wishing to adopt any dog or cat from the City must, where required, have said animal neutered or spayed, inoculated against rabies and distemper, purchase the required licenses, and provide the City with all adoption information as required by the City.

57.01 ANNUAL LICENSE AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

1.   Every owner of a dog or cat over six months old shall procure a license from the City on or before the first day of April of each year, or within 30 days of the animal being brought into the City, or when the animal has reached six months of age.

57.02 FEES.

The license fee for spayed and neutered animals is $10.00 per year. For animals that are not spayed or neutered, the annual license fee is $30.00.
