Sec. 6.08.040. – Licensing, registration, and vaccination.

A. License and registration required.

l. All dogs in the City shall be licensed and registered by their owners upon one (1) of the following events:

a. Within thirty (30) days after the owner acquires ownership of a dog not licensed and registered.

b. Within thirty (30) days after the dog reaches the age of four (4) months.

4. For any dog licensed the applicant shall pay a fee as set forth in the City’s fee schedule. Each applicant for a license shall be required to pay a fee for each neutered or spayed dog and a fee for each unneutered or unspayed dog prior to the issuance of a license. Any person who wishes to pay the reduced fee for neutered or spayed dogs shall present to the Police Department a signed statement from a licensed veterinarian that such dog has been neutered or spayed.
