§ 7.04.010 COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE ADOPTION.

(A)   Title 10, Los Angeles County Animal Code (“Animal Code Ordinance” or “ACO”), as in effect at the time of adoption by the city, and as amended from time to time, is hereby adopted by reference pursuant to the provisions of Cal. Government Code §§ 50022.1 through 50022.10. The ACO is made a part of the Alhambra Municipal Code, subject to the particular amendments and deletions provided in Chapter 7.04.

§ 7.04.030 AMENDMENTS PERTAINING TO CATS AND DOGS.

(B)   ACO Section 10.20.350 “A” is amended to require the spay and neuter of dogs at six months instead of four months to read as follows:

“A.   No person may own, keep, or harbor a dog over the age of six months in violation of this section. An owner or custodian of an unaltered dog must have the dog spayed or neutered or obtain an unaltered dog license in accordance with Section 10.20.355.”
