Contest Details

PETA’s 2019 Sexiest Vegan Next Door contest will be broken down into two rounds: the entry round and the finalist round, during which finalists chosen by a PETA panel will be voted on by the public to help PETA determine the winners. You can enter the contest during the entry round only.

Here’s how it works: Submit your entry by 12 p.m. EDT on April 5. If deemed appropriate by PETA, you’ll be in the running to win a trip for two to Hawaii! Your first name, city, state, photo, and brief bio will be posted on our website if you’re chosen as a finalist.

PETA will consider two factors in choosing the finalists:

  • Your enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by your responses to the entry questionnaire
  • PETA’s assessment of the quality of the image you submit

PETA will consider four factors in choosing the winners:

  • The total number of votes that you receive
  • Your enthusiasm to win the title as demonstrated by your promotion of your entry via social media
  • Your enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by your responses to the entry questionnaire
  • PETA’s assessment of the quality of the image you submit

All entries must be submitted by 12 p.m. EDT on April 5, 2019. At 12 p.m. EDT on April 22, 2019, PETA will announce 20 finalists—determined by a PETA panel—and voting will open to the public to help PETA determine who it should select as the winners. Voting to help PETA determine the winners ends at 12 p.m. EDT on May 13, 2019.

On May 20, 2019, two winners will be announced!

And now, on to the good stuff—prizes! The winners will each receive a free vacation to Maui, Hawaii, including eight days and seven nights of accommodations for up to four (the maximum capacity of a one-bedroom condominium) at a beautiful resort in Maui, Hawaii, and roundtrip coach airfare for two from anywhere in the U.S. The trip is brought to you by Humane Travel, the source for all your compassionate travel needs. Humane Travel offers virtually limitless compassionate travel options, bookable online or over the phone with a personal concierge who understands your lifestyle needs and the importance of meeting them. Be sure to read the full prize voucher for complete details. All other expenses not noted above or in the voucher are excluded (including but not limited to incidentals, gratuities, deposits, meals, amenity fees and other incurred charges at the accommodation, airport transfer and all other ground transportation, travel insurance, souvenirs, sales and other taxes and surcharges).

“Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?” READ MORE
