Going Vegan Has Done ‘Wonders’ for Mýa

R&B singer Mýa had been a longtime vegetarian before she decided to try a vegan lifestyle, initially as a simple challenge of her willpower. After learning more about factory farming and the dairy industry—and experiencing the “wonders” that eating vegan has done for her skin, body, and overall health—she vows never to go back. She touts her love for beautiful plant-based foods on social media often, sometimes with the hashtag #FountainOfYouth.

Watch her exclusive chat with PETA about her continued enthusiasm for a vegan lifestyle and her hopes that others will be inspired to try vegan eating as well.

Do your part for your health and for animals. It’s never too early (or late) to make the kind, smart choice to follow a plant-based diet, giving your health a boost and sparing animals unnecessary suffering. It’s never been easier to give up meat, eggs, and dairy “products”—there are countless compassionate options in grocery stores and restaurants across the country. PETA also has hundreds of free delicious vegan recipes to try!
