Ami James: ‘Only Cowards Abuse Animals’

When it comes to speaking up for animals, tattoo artist and star of NY Ink Ami James will “never be silent.” He first spoke out against the cruel fur industry by joining PETA’s “Ink, Not Mink” campaign. Now Ami is teaming up with PETA again, starring in an exclusive behind-the-scenes video and print ad with his adorable dog Bella with a message that’s loud and clear: “Only cowards abuse animals.”

Ami won’t stand for any kind of animal abuse, and he’s using his voice to encourage others to do the same. Whether animals are skinned alive for their fur, elephants are beaten and forced to perform silly tricks in circuses, or wild animals are hunted and killed for fun—it’s all unacceptable, as he explains in this exclusive video:

It takes only a moment to speak up for an animal in need. And sadly, plenty of them need our help. If you see a dog left outdoors on a chain, a lost or stray animal wandering the street, a dog locked in a hot car, or any other form of cruelty or neglect, speak up! Contact your local authorities, or reach out to PETA for assistance.

“Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?” READ MORE
