Cloris Leachman Celebrates Her 90th Birthday!

Published by PETA.

Oscar-winning actor Cloris Leachman is one funny lady—but when she’s serious, it’s about her love of animals. Vegetarian for more than 50 years, she’s made the case for everything from not using elephants in entertainment and not keeping birds in cages to spaying and neutering companion animals and leaving meat off our plates.

Cloris knows that the key to living a long and healthy life is not eating animals. She told Parade magazine that when she stopped eating meat, she felt “cleansed and incredible, like the inflammation in my body had been reduced.”

Happy Birthday, Cloris!
