Thank You for Taking PETA’s Vegan Thanksgiving ‘Persuasion Pledge’

Thank you for taking PETA’s vegan Thanksgiving “persuasion pledge.” About 45 million turkeys are slaughtered for the holiday each year, but you’ll be helping to lower that figure—one day perhaps to zero. And you’re helping in other ways, too, because for every 100 pledges that we receive, we’ll donate a vegan roast to a charity that feeds hungry families.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. One such thing is our ability to choose what to eat! By choosing vegan foods for yourself and others, you’re not contributing to industries that cause animals to suffer greatly and endure a painful death. And because of the health benefits of vegan eating, the lives you save might just include your own and those of others you’ve persuaded to eat a vegan meal or go vegan for life.

Looking for more ways to help? Check out the following suggestions:

  • Share your pledge on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Urge a friend to join you by taking the “persuasion pledge.”

Thank you for your compassion for animals—your activism counts.

“Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?” READ MORE
