Calling all compassionate consumers! On Black Friday 2026, we need YOU to help us send a message to holiday shoppers: Don’t wear animals.
Each year on the busiest shopping day, PETA and our supporters take to the streets nationwide for “Free the Animals” Friday—our holiday tradition packed with head-turning demonstrations and animal-saving actions. We want corporations that sell products made from animal suffering to know that their customers want fashion without leather, wool, feathers, cashmere, or anything else stolen from animals.
And this year, we’re turning up the pressure on H&M to stop selling wool and leave sheep in peace.

Why Animals Need YOU to Speak Up
Cows, sheep, rabbits, birds, and other animals exploited for fashion are social, inquisitive individuals who form meaningful relationships and care for their families. These animals aren’t clothing. They feel pain, fear, and joy, just as humans do.
Using animals for their skin, wool, and feathers wreaks havoc on the planet, too, contributing to land degradation, deforestation, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
But the future of fashion is already here. More companies than ever are using innovative vegan fabrics made from plants and recycled materials that are kind to animals and far more sustainable. Research shows that cow-skin leather has a carbon footprint more than 12 times that of any vegan leather.
