Below, please find a statement from PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in response to Dolphinaris Arizona’s announcement last night that it will no longer exhibit dolphins:

It took two years, four dead dolphins, and a horrified public for Dolphinaris Arizona finally to concede that these highly intelligent, social, far-ranging animals don’t belong in captivity, and if this facility reopens, PETA urges it to do so without any animals.

PETA’s motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment,” and more information about “swim with dolphins” programs is available here.
