5 Easy Vegan Ways to Cook Without Butter

Applesauce

Pumpkin Purée

Sautéing vegetables in lime juice will give your stir-fry a refreshing flavor, without the saturated fat and cholesterol of butter.

Avocado

Your breakfast toast will benefit from a spread of healthy avocado instead of butter.

Coconut Oil

You can mix coconut oil into your batter for moist, butter-free poppy seed bread.

If you eat butter, you support the horrific dairy and meat industries that slaughter more than 30 million cows per year in the U.S. alone.

On farms, calves are often torn away from their mothers within a day of birth, which causes them both extreme distress. Mother cows can be heard calling for their calves for days.
