The Chicago Red Stars professional soccer team just won over a whole new fan base. The team’s goal-oriented gals have a new goal in sight: helping to shut out animal homelessness. They’re partnering with PETA to host their first Bark in the Park event at Toyota Park.

Bark in the Park will let fans enjoy a fun day out with their dogs, find permanent homes for adoptable dogs who need an assist, and help stem the tide of homeless animals—as PETA has donated the game-day giveaway: 1,000 Frisbees carrying the vital message “Save a life! Always adopt—never buy.” PETA staffers at the game will hand out other pup-pleasing presents and answer fans’ questions.

The Chicago Red Stars wish to remind soccer fans that true sportspeople always have their animal companions spayed or neutered and never chain their best friends.
