Sec. 10-29. – License requirements.

(a) Dogs. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or harbor a dog within the city which is over three months old without having paid a license fee as prescribed in section 10-30, or without having such dog inoculated annually against rabies, and no dog shall be issued a city license without first being inoculated against rabies. No fee shall be charged for the licensure of qualified service animals who are trained to lead partially or totally blind persons, aid hearing-impaired persons or assist mobility-impaired persons.

Sec. 10-30. – License fees.

(a) The annual license fee shall commence on January 1 of each year, and the license fee shall be:

(1) For castrated male and spayed female dogs: $2.00.

(2) For uncastrated male and unspayed female dogs: $4.00.
