§ 134-1 License, tag, and collar required.
Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog of licensing age shall annually apply for and procure from the Borough Health Officer a license and official metal registration tag for each such dog and shall place upon such dog a collar or harness with the registration tag securely fastened thereto. A dog shall be of licensing age which has attained the age of seven months or which possesses a set of permanent teeth.
§ 134-2 Fee; expiration; veterinary certificate.
A. The person applying for the license and registration tag shall pay a fee of $12 for each dog, which sum shall include the charge for the registration tag of each dog and $0.20 of that amount being allocated for the Pilot Clinic Fund. An additional surcharge of $3 shall be paid on all licenses issued for nonspayed and nonneutered dogs, and such surcharge shall be allocated for the Animal Population Control Fund. For each annual renewal, the fee for the license, including the registration tag, shall be the same as for the original license, including the tag. Said licenses, registration tags and renewals thereof shall expire on the last day of December of each year. Persons renewing a license after January 31 shall, in addition to the fee set forth above, pay a surcharge of $5 per license. Fees for new licenses shall not be prorated, regardless of the date of issue.
