§ 76-1 Licensing of dogs.

A. No person shall keep or harbor any dog within the Borough of Pine Beach, in the County of Ocean, without first obtaining a license therefor, to be issued by the Clerk of the borough upon application by the owner and payment of the prescribed fee, and no person shall keep or harbor any dog in said borough except in compliance with the provisions of this article.

B. The sum to be paid for a dog license and each renewal thereof, as authorized in N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.12 shall be a Borough fee of $10.80, state fee of $1, N.J. Pilot Clinic Fund fee of $0.20 for a total of $12 and an additional $3 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs for a total of $15.

§ 76-25 Display of license.

Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a cat of licensing age shall annually apply for and procure from the Clerk of the municipality, or other official designated by the governing body thereof to license cats in the municipality in which he/she resides, a license and official registration tag with license number or a registration sleeve for each cat so owned, kept or harbored and shall place upon such cat a collar or other device with the license number securely fastened or displayed thereto. Acceptable methods of displaying the license number shall include but are not limited to breakaway or elastic collars. License tags or sleeves are not transferable. Any owner may elect to not display the registration tag or sleeve on his/her cat, and this shall not constitute a violation of this article, provided that the license, registration tag or sleeve and vaccination certificate are available at all times for inspection by the animal control authority. If any person shall display or present for inspection a license, registration tag or sleeve or a vaccination certificate which is fictitious or is for a cat other than that on which it is displayed or for which it is presented, this shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.

§ 76-31 License fees.

A. A license shall be issued after payment of a fee of $12 for each neutered cat or $15 for each non-neutered cat.
