§ 53-2 License and registration tag required.

Any person who shall own, keep or harbor a dog of licensing age shall, in the month of January of each year, apply for and procure from the Township Clerk a license and official metal registration tag for each such dog so owned, kept or harbored and shall place upon each such dog a collar or harness with the registration tag securely fastened thereto.

§ 53-3 Fees; exceptions.

A. The person applying for the license and registration tag shall pay a fee of $13.80 for the license of each dog, the sum $1 for the registration tag; and also the fee of $0.20 which shall be forwarded by the Township to the New Jersey State Treasurer for the NJ Pilot Clinic Fund for each dog; for the annual renewal, the fee for the license and registration tag shall pay a total fee of $15. The said annual license shall expire on the last day of February each year, regardless of when the license was obtained. There shall be a late-fee penalty of $15 for a dog who is unlicensed past the last day of February each year. With respect to each dog of reproductive age which has not been neutered or sterilized, there shall be an additional surcharge of $3, which shall be forwarded by the Township to the New Jersey State Treasurer for deposit in the Animal Population Control Fund.
