6.01.060– Adoption of impounded cats.
Any impounded cat not claimed by its owner as provided in Section 6.01.050 may be placed for adoption by animal control and may be adopted upon the following conditions:
A. If the cat has been spayed or neutered, and has a current vaccination against rabies, the cat may be adopted by the payment of an adoption fee of five dollars.
B. If the cat has been spayed or neutered, and does not have a current vaccination against rabies, the cat may be adopted by payment of an additional rabies vaccination voucher for thirty dollars. Upon receipt of the thirty dollars, the animal control shall issue a voucher that can be presented to any designated licensed veterinarian(s) as payment for the vaccination service.
C. If the cat has not been spayed or neutered, the cat may be adopted by following the requirements of NRS 574.640.
6.08.030– License—Required.
Except as provided in Section 6.08.040 B and C, it is unlawful for any owner to have any dog without first obtaining a license for such dog and paying to the city clerk the license fee required by Section 6.08.050A.
6.08.050– License—Fee schedule—Penalty fees for late payment.
A. The fees for dog licenses and tags shall be as follows:
1. For each male dog $2.50;
2. For each spayed female dog 2.50;
3. For each natural female dog 5.00;
