§ 92.01. – DEFINITIONS.
For the purpose of this subchapter and §§ 92.30 through 92.33, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

Cattery. Any person, groups of persons or a corporation engaged in the keeping of cats or the business of breeding, buying, selling or boarding cats.

Kennel. An establishment wherein any person engaged in the business of boarding, breeding, buying, letting for hire, training for a fee or selling dogs.
§ 92.04. – LICENSES.
(B) No person shall keep any dog or cat within the city unless:
(1) The dog or cat has received a current rabies vaccination (Exempted from this provision are animals too young to receive a rabies vaccination, according to current veterinary practice); and
(2) Wears a metal tag attached to the collar on the dog or cat at all times, indicating the animal has received the necessary rabies inoculation; or
(3) A license for the dog or cat has been secured from the city in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter and §§ 92.30 through 92.33.

(E) (1)The annual license fee shall be as follows:
(a) For each male or female dog or cat: $10; and
(b) For each altered male dog or cat or spayed female dog or cat: $8.
(2) In applying for the latter type license, written proof is required from a licensed veterinarian that the animal being licensed has been neutered or spayed.
