Sec. 6-38. – Kennels prohibited.

No person shall keep, operate or maintain a kennel within the limits of the city, except as regulated and permitted in Appendix A – Zoning, Article IX – C-2 General Business District, Article X – MXD, Mixed-Use District and Article XI – I, Industrial District. The term “kennel,” as used in this article, means any establishment, wherein or whereon:

(1) one or more dogs or cats is or are confined, owned, kept, or harbored, for the purpose of breeding, sale, or otherwise;
