7.04.010 LICENSING OF DOGS REQUIRED

1. On or before January 1st of each year, every owner of a dog shall apply to the City Clerk’s Office for a license to keep said dog within the city.
2. Application shall include the name, address, and telephone number of the dog’s owner and the gender, breed, color, age and name of the dog. The application shall be accompanied by a veterinarian’s certificate of vaccination against rabies or a notarized letter from a veterinarian that a certificate was issued and is still in effect.
3. Except as provided in Paragraph D below, fees for the licensing of dogs shall be as follows:

4. No fee shall be charged for a license issued under this section for a service dog as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act or regulations promulgated thereunder. No fee shall be charged for a license for a dog owned by a person aged 70 years or older.
