Sec. 8-74. – Required.

No person shall keep, harbor or maintain a dog which is over four months of age without a license for such dog issued by the town clerk; provided, however, that provisions of this section shall not apply to dogs whose owners are nonresidents temporarily within the town, nor to dogs brought into the town to participate in dog shows, nor to Seeing Eye dogs properly trained to assist blind persons when such dogs are actually being used by blind persons for such purpose.

Sec. 8-76. – Fee.

A person desiring to obtain a dog license shall pay a license fee if it is for a male dog or a spayed female dog or a different fee if it is for an unspayed female dog. The fee charged for a dog license shall be nonrefundable, and in an amount as established by the mayor and board of aldermen from time to time.
