Sec. 2-211. – Licenses.

For the issuance of each license, such owner or keeper shall pay the city clerk for each and every dog and/or cat owned or kept in the city the following amounts:

(a) Male dogs or cats: $5.00, per year.

(b) Female dogs or cats: $5.00, per year.

(c) Spayed female dog or cat: $2.50, per year.

(d) Neutered male dog or cat: $2.50, per year.

All dogs and/or cats licenses shall be obtained from the office of the city clerk on or before the last day of January each year. Said licenses shall expire on January 31 of the following year. If dog or cat licenses are not obtained before the last day of January of each year as above stated, then the registration fee for that year shall be doubled. At the time of the issuance of the license, the city clerk shall deliver therewith a metallic tag showing the registration number.
