6.11.030 – Release of animals to rescue organizations.

After the required time period, in lieu of having an animal destroyed, the animal services department may release an animal which is not diseased to a bona fide animal welfare organization or to a person having no previous interest in the animal. Upon release of the animal, the recipient shall pay a fee as established by the animal services department, including but not limited to fees for adoption, rabies inoculations, dog license, and sterilization costs.
