6.04.02 – Licensing and vaccination.

C. Dog and cat licenses.

1. All dogs and cats over six months of age shall be licensed as provided herein. Application for a dog or cat license shall be made to the licensing authority and shall state the name, address and telephone number of the owner(s); the name, breed, color, age and sex of the dog or cat; and a certificate of rabies vaccination. Applicants shall pay license fees per year of five dollars ($5.00) for any neutered or spayed dog or cat and seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) for any un-neutered or un-spayed dog or cat.

2. Fees for reclaiming impounded animals are as follows:

a. Licensed and vaccinated animals that have been either neutered or sterilized:

b. Licensed and vaccinated animals that have not been neutered or sterilized:

First offense …..$15.00

C. Adoption.

1. The animal control authority may convey ownership (permit adoption of) any animal which has become the property of the animal control authority to a responsible person subject to such conditions as may be prescribed by the animal control authority, including, without limitation, the following:
