22.12.020 Adoptions.

A. All dogs and cats shall be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Dogs and cats eligible for adoption may be spayed or neutered at the expense of the Borough. It is a violation of this section for an adoptive owner to possess an adopted dog or cat that is not spayed or neutered.

22.16.050 Redemption.

E. Any owner who agrees to have their redeemed dog or cat neutered or spayed within 30 days after redeeming that adult animal, or within 30 days after six-month birthday for a juvenile animal, will be refunded an amount equal to a first time redemption fee a established in accordance with subsection (B) of this section, upon receipt of a licensed vterinarian’s signed certification that the surgery has been performed.
