Tethering/Chaining

Sec. 10-32. – Definitions.

Tethering means the restraining of an animal by tying to any object or structure, including, without limitation, a house, tree, fence, post, garage, weight or shed, by any means, including without limitation rope, cord, leash, chain or running line, but shall not include a leash used to walk the animal.

Sec. 10-37. – Restraint.

(c) Tethering as defined in section 10-32 shall not be used as a restraint.
