§ 2.08.003 Care of animals.

An owner may not leave a dog outside and unattended by use of a restraint, tie, or tether:

(1) Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

(2) Within 500 feet of the premises of any school or daycare.

(3) More than two (2) four (4) hour periods without a one (1) hour break between periods within any twelve (12) hour period.

(4) At any time when a warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for a hurricane, tropical storm, severe thunderstorm, tornado, flash flood, winter weather, or ice storm and is in effect for the area where the dog is maintained.
