‘Please Don’t Eat Me!’ PETA’s Robo-Turkey Struts Into Nashville for Free Vegan Roast Giveaway

Ahead of Thanksgiving—and to ensure that everyone has access to delicious and nourishing food over the holidays—a robotic turkey named “Travis Beaker” (after Travis Barker, the vegan drummer for Blink 182) led PETA supporters in a giveaway of vegan roasts outside Kroger to encourage shoppers to make kindness their tradition by gobbling veggies, not turkeys this holiday and beyond.

PETA’s Fieldworkers Help Chained Dogs Like Chanel

With freezing weather forecasts bearing down on the East Coast, PETA’s Community Animal Project has mobilized to distribute lifesaving care to chained dogs like Chanel, who we gave an insulated dog house to help bear the cold.

Turkey or Terrier for Thanksgiving?

Shoppers in New Mexico were met with a “roasted dog” as the centerpiece of a shocking spread. The display points out to potential turkey-eaters that Tom and Toto are the same in all the ways that matter—and neither wants to be carved up for a meal.

‘NIH, Close the Monkey Labs!’ Demands New Times Square Ad

PETA’s new billboard is showing the crowds of Times Square how monkeys live inside federally funded laboratories and calling for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to shut down the seven national primate research centers.

‘Dead Calf’ Haunts Anti-Female Milk Marathon

Runners were stopped in their tracks outside the Every Woman’s Marathon Expo when PETA supporters and a lifelike “dead calf” called out the hypocrisy of a women’s race funded by the dairy industry, which systematically sexually assaults female cows and steals their newborn babies so that the milk meant to nourish them can be sold to humans.

Giant PETA ‘Bulls’ Crash St. Peter’s Over Catholic Church’s Ties to Bullfighting

“Bull blessings, not bullfights!” That’s the message PETA supporters brought to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, along with a pair of massive inflatable bulls. The animal advocates urged parishioners in Pope Leo XIV’s hometown to pressure the pontiff to denounce violent and deadly bullfights.

PETA Protesters Descend on Carden Circus: Old, Disabled Elephant Must Be Retired ASAP

A 20-foot-tall “crying elephant” surrounded by animal advocates rallied outside the Carden Circus to call for the release of Betty, an elephant who shuffles slowly on her stiff front legs that hurt to bend, drags her trunk on the ground due to apparent paralysis—likely due to being forced to stand on her head and put several tons of weight on her trunk for decades—and is suffering from painful cracks in her toenails.

PETA Supporters in Giant Monkey Masks Protest UW Primate Center

A troop of PETA supporters with giant monkey masks descended upon the University of Washington’s New Student Convocation, after traveling over on Seattle’s Light Rail, to tell everyone in attendance about the school’s deadly underground primate center and call for its immediate closure.

‘Bloody’ Crocodile Calls Cruel Skin Sales at Hermès Grand Opening

Shoppers at the grand opening of the first Hermès store in Nashville were shocked to come face-to-face with a body-painted PETA supporter “dead” outside its doors to warn potential customers about the suffering of crocodiles and other animals whose skin is stolen for bags, watchbands, and more.
