Splish Splash, PETA UK's Takin' a Bath

Written by PETA

Rub-a-dub-dub, two vegetarians in a tub,
And what do you think they were doing there?
"For World Water Day, go vegan!"
Declared the lovely pair.

Today marks the 19th World Water Day, which was initiated by the United Nations in order to raise awareness of the global water crisis. Playboy models Monica Harris and Victoria Eisermann celebrated with PETA UK by telling people in London's Trafalgar Square that the best way to fight the worldwide water shortage is to wash their meat-eating diet down the drain. "You can't be a meat-eating environmentalist," said Eisermann.

I'll be the first to admit it: I enjoy taking a nice bubble bath. But would you take 50 of them in a day? If you're still eating meat, you might as well turn on the tap and let it run. A typical meat-eating diet requires 4,000 gallons of water per day while a typical vegan diet requires only 300. That's some serious H2O!

Request your free vegetarian/vegan starter kit today, and go ahead—indulge in a nice bubble bath while you read it.
