To combat the high population of stray and homeless animals in Puerto Rico, PETA partnered with the Humane Society of Puerto Rico to sterilize more than 250 animals in just 2 days, setting a new record for the program. The event was free to the public thanks to PETA’s Global Compassion Fund.

A troop of PETA supporters with giant monkey masks descended upon the University of Washington’s New Student Convocation, after traveling over on Seattle’s Light Rail, to tell everyone in attendance about the school’s deadly underground primate center and call for its immediate closure.

Because Vermont has the lowest fertility rate in the U.S.—and the consumption of estrogen-loaded dairy cheese is linked with decreased semen quality—a PETA supporter dressed as a not-so-little swimmer planted a seed about going vegan by handing out hundreds of animal-friendly cheese snacks.

PETA’s larger-than-life “ostrich” stood outside Victoria’s Secret’s star-studded fashion show to thank the brand for showing designers and consumers everywhere how to create killer looks without harming birds. The show is now feather-free, featuring gorgeous and innovative vegan Angel wings.
