Homes Submerged. Streets Turned into Rivers. Animals Clinging to Hope.

A devastating wave of storms in the Philippines—first Tropical Storm Wipha, then relentless monsoon rains from Habagat, and now Typhoon Co-May—has left entire communities underwater. Nearly 80% of the area was submerged in some cities near Manila.

Families fled with what little they could carry. Animals were desperate, paddling through filthy waters or shivering in corners of makeshift shelters. Their guardians, already overwhelmed, are doing everything they can to keep them alive.

This weekend, thanks to compassionate donors like you, PETA-supported responders waded through flooded streets to bring relief. They delivered over 650 pounds of food to hungry animals and helped more than 200 guardians desperate for aid. The team also treated heartbreaking but common conditions like mange—so easy to cure, yet so painful to endure—and dewormed sick, neglected puppies on the spot.
