Glue Traps Banned, Bear Show Folded, and More of PETA’s June Victories

As always, PETA went hard in the paint in June. After exposing how workers in the mohair industry dragged, roughly handled, threw around, mutilated, and even cut the throats of fully conscious goats, over 180 retailers have banned the sale of mohair. Canadian dollar-store chain Buck or Two Plus! agreed to stop selling glue traps once it learned from PETA that these devices cause slow, painful deaths for animals. We even rescued the bears who’d been forced to perform in The Great Bear Show and arranged for their placement in reputable sanctuaries.
