Why Every Woman’s Marathon Is Awful for Moms
A true feminist wouldn’t support a race that runs on sexism. That’s why PETA is calling out the hypocrisy of anyone promoting the dairy industry-organized Every Woman’s Marathon.

Every Woman’s Marathon Is Awful for Moms
There’s no such thing as a pro–dairy industry feminist. The industry is inherently sexist, as it exploits female cows for their bodies. Female cows produce milk for the same reason human women do—to feed their babies. They only produce milk when they’re pregnant or nursing.
On dairy factory farms, workers forcibly manually impregnate cows every year by inserting an arm into their rectum and a metal rod to deliver semen into their vagina. Once their baby is born, the newborn calves are torn away from their distraught mothers within hours of birth so that the milk meant to nourish their babies can be sold to humans. Some mother cows call for their calves for days after being traumatically separated.

How PETA Is Urging Runners to Run Away from Every Woman’s Marathon
PETA Told Kathrine Switzer It’s Impossible to Be a Dairy-Drinking Feminist
In a pointed video, PETA called out the hypocrisy of Kathrine Switzer—the first woman to officially compete in the Boston Marathon—supporting Every Woman’s Marathon while mother cows suffer in the dirty dairy industry.
PETA is urging Kathrine Switzer to stand in solidarity with all females, cut ties with the cruel dairy industry, and dump this dairy-funded PR stunt.
PETA Showed Up to Shake Up Shake Out Runs
Passionate PETA supporters crashed several dairy-backed Shake Out runs—including the Boston Marathon’s—to loudly expose how mothers are treated when exploited for their milk.
PETA Protesters Stopped Film Fest Viewers in Their Tracks
When film fests in Washington D.C. and Minnesota showcased Team Milk’s mini documentary “Forward Is a Pace,” PETA protesters were waiting outside theaters to stop viewers in their tracks and tell them the truth about cow’s milk.

“Forward Is a Pace” highlights the same bogus women’s empowerment messaging, when really the mini movie is nothing more than a dairy industry advertisement targeting women.
PETA Supporter Races in Protest of Dirty Dairy
Running a marathon is hard, but the life of a dairy cow is infinitely harder. Vegan athlete Starlynn Costa staged a 26.2-mile-long protest as she ran wearing a tank top reading “Dairy Exploits Females” on the front and “You Can’t Be a Milk-Drinking Feminist” on the back.

While Costa ran, PETA supporters hung banners, waved signs, and handed out hundreds of leaflets to participants and their friends and family, which detailed how female cows and their babies are exploited and abused for milk.

Running Should Be Fun for Everyone
PETA is urging Kathrine Switzer to stand in solidarity with all females, cut ties with the cruel dairy industry, and dump this dairy-funded PR stunt. There’s no reason to stand with exploiters when you can run with compassion.
