PETA and several other animal advocates have come together to offer a combined $17,000 reward for information that will help authorities arrest and convict the people responsible for the deaths of two dogs who were found burned, skinned, and beheaded, among other abuses, outside Knoxville, Tennessee. Knox County Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones said, “I am hoping with such a large reward that someone will come forward who has knowledge of this heinous incident. We’re also tremendously grateful to these organizations for their support.”

Local media are helping to publicize the story and the reward:

Always report suspected animal abuse to local authorities. If they’re unresponsive, contact PETA.
