Hamilton, Ontario – For all the football fans who will be attending the Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats game at Tim Hortons Field this Thanksgiving, PETA will be outside the stadium with a holiday treat: free Tofurky sliders with a dollop of cranberry sauce from Animal Liberation Kitchen! As part of its ThanksVegan campaign—which asks everyone to give turkeys a break this holiday—PETA has also offered to deliver protein-packed vegan feasts to both teams for them to enjoy after the game, win or lose.

When:    Monday, October 11, 1 p.m.

Where:    Outside the stadium, 64 Melrose Avenue N., Hamilton

“Turkeys are caring parents and spirited explorers who can live up to 10 years when left in peace,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA’s giveaway will kick off a kinder future for animals and a healthy ThanksVegan for everyone.”

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat” and which opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview—offers a Canadian ThanksVegan guide.
