Following a Toronto restaurant’s attempt to sway Bo Bichette to stay with the Blue Jays by offering him free steaks for life, PETA is ready to help the star shortstop prepare for a bit of a slump, should he accept the beef bribe: offering to provide Bichette with a lifetime supply of Viagra—since eating artery-clogging meat can lead to striking out in the bedroom—and PETA’s free vegan starter kit, including “bet you can’t tell the difference, but your arteries can” vegan steaks.

“A steak a day will undoubtedly keep the erections away, as cholesterol-packed meaty meals are known to slow the flow of blood to all the body’s organs,” says PETA President Tracy Reiman. “PETA is encouraging Bichette to reject this steakhouse’s cow-killing kickback and reminds everyone that eating vegan can mean the difference between sizzling and fizzling in the bedroom.”
PETA points out that “free steaks for life” is a raw deal for cows, who have friends and mourn when a loved one dies or when they’re separated from each other. In the meat industry, they’re crammed into filthy sheds and feedlots, endure routine mutilations including tail docking, castration, and dehorning with no painkillers, and are slaughtered at just a fraction of their natural lifespan.
But each person who goes vegan saves nearly 200 animals every year from daily suffering and a terrifying death. Studies have shown that eating vegan can significantly boost sexual function in men and reduce their risk of impotence—as well as slash an individual’s risk of heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and other ailments.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
