A Compassionate Business Award is on its way from PETA to local vegan restaurant Vegan Vibrationz for being the first vendor to serve exclusively vegan food in the 139-year history of the State Fair of Texas.
Owned by identical twin brothers Jovan and Josh Cole, Vegan Vibrationz offers “veganized” American comfort food classics—including savory sandwiches, burgers, loaded nachos, and a scrumptious fast food-inspired crunchwrap, featuring a grilled tortilla filled with meat made from plants, black beans, gooey cheese made from coconut milk, chipotle aioli, lettuce, and tomatoes, as well as smoothies and juices.
Vegan Vibrationz, which started as a pop-up at the Dallas Farmers Market in 2018, operates as a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Plano at Legacy Hall. The Cole brothers are running their food booth at the State Fair now through October 19.

“From plant-powered sandwiches bursting with flavor to a craveable crunchwrap with a vegan twist, Vegan Vibrationz offers an animal-friendly answer to comfort food cravings,” says PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk. “PETA is celebrating Vegan Vibrationz for creating a mouthwatering menu that even the staunchest of carnivores can’t resist.”
Cows develop friendships over time, chickens form complex social structures, and pigs recognize their own names—but in today’s meat, egg, and dairy industries, the animals are raised in filthy, crowded conditions, trucked to slaughterhouses through all weather extremes, and violently killed. In addition to sparing nearly 200 animals every year, each person who goes vegan also bolsters their own health, as vegans are less likely to suffer from cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help those looking to make the switch.
Vegan Vibrationz will receive a framed certificate along with delicious vegan chocolates from PETA.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
