Please see the following statement from PETA Associate Director Amber Canavan regarding art collective MSCHF’s claim that enough burger and handbag tokens were returned to spare Angus the cow’s life:

Thankfully, compassion prevailed in this case and Angus will get a chance to live out his natural life, but animals are individuals with their own wants and needs, not props for cruel publicity stunts. PETA encourages MSCHF to stick to animal-free antics for any future attempts to shock the public and urges people to spare all cows from the terror and agony of the slaughterhouse by going vegan.

PETA offers a free vegan starter kit for anyone thinking of making the switch.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on XFacebook, or Instagram.
