With Halloween creeping up, PETA is helping kind spirits connect by hosting a frightfully fun vegan speed dating event—a fang-tastic opportunity for those looking to find the animal-friendly other half of their couple’s costume. The virtual gathering will take place on October 19 and offer a chance for vegan singles to carve out some time with like-minded people who know that eating flesh is for zombies—but can’t resist graaaains.
Costumes are welcome at the event, in which attendees will spend seven minutes each with seven different singles who match their dating criteria. Tickets are $15 through October 16 and $20 from October 17 until signups end at 5 p.m. EST on October 19.
Where: Sign up at PETA.org/VeganDate
When: Sunday, October 19, 8 p.m. EST

“Kindness is an eerie-sistable trait in a partner, and no one should have to brave dating app hocus pocus to find someone who shares their values,” says PETA Vice President Heather Carlson. “PETA encourages anyone dying to meet their Hallow-queen or king to brew up a bewitching connection at our vegan speed dating event.”
Partial proceeds from PETA’s speed dating event will go to support PETA’s vital mission to end animal exploitation. PETA offers a free vegan starter kit for anyone thinking of making the switch—or looking for delicious recipes to impress their date.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
