Dallas, Texas – We’ve received word from Morrissey, a longtime vegetarian, that he plans to deck out his band that night in PETA’s “Meat Is Murder” T-shirts, which reference the title track of the famous Meat Is Murder album that he recorded with The Smiths in 1985. Morrissey plans to show actual slaughterhouse footage during his performance of the song and hopes its message will resonate with concertgoers in Texas, the top beef-producing state in the country. He also plans to have a PETA informational booth on site at all of his concerts.
