Football fans flocking to town for the Big Game may come face-to-beak with the giant, walking, talking, AI-powered robo-chicken, “Hennifer Coolidge,” who will be roosting outside the Super Bowl Fan Zone at Yerba Buena Gardens and leading PETA supporters in a giveaway of tasty vegan buffalo chicken samples from JUST Meat on Saturday. Named in honor of the vegan award-winning actress Jennifer Coolidge—and voiced to sound just like her—PETA’s chatty chicken will spout sassy phrases, including “I want you to go vegan real bad,” as she clucks her way through the Bay Area this week, urging everyone to spare her feathered friends.
“PETA’s robo-chicken is asking fans to play ball by leaving smart and sensitive chickens in peace, not in pieces,” says PETA President Tracy Reiman. “Football fans can kick off their Super Bowl feasts with tasty vegan game-day grub like the delicious meat-free morsels from JUST.”
Where: Outside the Super Bowl Fan Zone, Yerba Buena Gardens, 775 Mission St, San Francisco
When: Friday, February 6, 11:30 a.m. and Saturday, February 7, 12:00 p.m.
PETA will also be outside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara at 12:00 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday.

Why: Chickens form complex social structures, dream when they sleep, and worry about the future, just as humans do. At slaughterhouses, mechanized blades slit their throats—often while they’re still conscious—and many are scalded to death in de-feathering tanks. PETA offers a free vegan starter kit and recommendations for delicious vegan Super Bowl fare for anyone thinking of making the switch.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kitsfor people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
