Dayton, Ohio – Taco Bell is testing vegan carne asada steak in Dayton, Ohio, and to celebrate, PETA is letting lucky locals try the new Beyond Meat option for free on Thursday. Giving away tacos piled high with the juicy “steak” outside a Taco Bell store near the University of Dayton, the group will highlight that meat-free proteins spare cows’ lives, are far more environmentally friendly, and taste fantástico.

When:    Thursday, November 3, 11:45 a.m.

Where:    1000 Brown St. (near the intersection with Wyoming Street), Dayton

“Every Taco Bell store in Dayton will let diners upgrade to Beyond Carne Asada, saving not only pennies but also cows, their own arteries, and even the Earth,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “PETA encourages every hungry person to give this delicious new option a try and fall in love with vegan fast food.”

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
