While some Twitter users reacted to photos of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s mayo-and-banana sandwich with yelps (and GIFs) of disgust, PETA, which is headquartered in NASCAR country, has a different take. The animal rights group—whose headquarters is equidistant from the Darlington and Martinsville race tracks—is sending Earnhardt a basket of delicious, egg-free Just Mayo to help him stay in fine fettle as he enjoys future monochromatic sandwiches.

“We heard that banana-mayonnaise sandwiches get your engine revving,” PETA writes in the accompanying note. “So we thought that we’d help you do you in an animal-friendly and healthful way. Keep the bottle near the throttle, and avoid those cholesterol bombs—eggs—that slow a man down.”
