PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction on cruelty charges of the person(s) responsible for abandoning a dog, who was found still alive inside a zipped suitcase with a rope around her neck, in a Dumpster behind a restaurant on the 8800 block on Evergreen Way on November 18.
A bystander who found the gray/blue pit bull called 911, and Everett Police Department patrol officers transported her to the Everett Animal Shelter. Staff there discovered that the dog had given birth within the last day, and she was underweight, vomiting blood, and had abrasions around her neck. But she is improving daily and, now named Binny, could be ready for adoption as early as next week.
The suspect has not been identified and may have other animals in their possession who are in danger. Anyone with information—including anyone who has seen gray/blue pit bull mix puppies who were born around November 17—should contact the Everett Police Department’s non-emergency line at 425-407-3999.

“This poor dog was tied up, zipped inside a suitcase, and left to die a terrifying death—and her puppies may now be in danger, too,” says PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA urges anyone who has information about this case to come forward immediately before the individual responsible hurts someone else.”
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kitsfor people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
