$5,000 Reward Offered by PETA for Tips on Who Dumped Dog on Side of Road in Lebanon Borough

PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction on cruelty charges of the person responsible for abandoning a dog on Main Street in Lebanon Borough on March 24.

Security footage shows a woman wearing a red long-sleeved shirt and black pants walking a black, medium-sized pit bull or pit bull mix on a leash and exiting a black, four-door 2007–2012 Nissan Altima with what appear to be New Jersey license plates on the front and rear. She walks the dog around the rear of the car and goes out of view, then reappears without the dog, gets back into the vehicle, and leaves. The dog was later found and taken into custody by animal control, transferred to a shelter, and has since been adopted.

“Dogs depend on their guardians to keep them safe, but this woman abandoned this poor dog, leaving her confused, in danger of being hit by car, and with no one to look after her,” says PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA urges anyone with information to come forward so that this person can be held accountable before anyone else is put in harm’s way.”
