Say, Vegan Cheese, Please! PETA Asks Domino’s to Deliver
Pizza lovers are hungry for change: The worldwide vegan cheese market is expected to grow to nearly US$9 billion by 2032! Many pizza chains are meeting the skyrocketing demand. More than 50 US pizza chains – including Papa Murphy’s, MOD Pizza, and Mellow Mushroom – offer vegan options. And in Australia and the UK, Domino’s offers both vegan cheese and vegan meat, following a push by PETA entities. Vegan cheese is also on the menu at Domino’s in Germany, Iceland, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, and Switzerland.

So why are Domino’s US customers denied a piece of the (vegan) pie? Let’s change this!
Rejecting Cow Cheese Means Protecting Cows
No slice of cow cheese justifies how cruel the dairy industry is to mother cows, who are treated like milk-making machines, and to their beloved calves, who are torn away from them, often within hours of birth. That’s done so that the milk meant to nourish those wonderful babies can be sold as cheese, yogurt, and creamer. PETA’s investigations have found dairy workers electroshocking cows in the face, hitting them with poles, and otherwise abusing them. Once the cows’ bodies wear out from repeated forced pregnancies, they’re prodded down the ramp to slaughter. Do you want to be party to that?
They Add Toe Jam!
Cheese isn’t just inhumane – it’s unhealthy. Cow cheese is loaded with artery-clogging saturated fat and cholesterol and is made by adding the same bacteria – Brevibacterium linens – that you can find between your toes. True!
What You Can Do
Join the vegan cheese brigade! Urge Domino’s to offer vegan cheese in the US. And if your local pizzerias don’t offer vegan cheese and other toppings, please ask for them and take melty, savory vegan cheese shreds, slices, or blocks – available from Daiya, Follow Your Heart, Kite Hill, Miyoko’s Creamery, MyLife, Violife, and others – to restaurant managers and ask them to please add them, as you want vegan options on the menu.
