Brooklyn Just Got Its First All-Vegan Pizzeria

Published by Alanna Ramsier.

Brooklyn, your day has finally come. What day is that, you ask? Well, it’s the day when you get a 100 percent vegan pizzeria. The wonderful folks at Champs Diner, an all-vegan Brooklyn spot, are giving the borough its first completely animal-free pizza place.

Screamer’s Pizzeria held its grand opening on June 13, 2016, serving up wide-sliced, thin-crusted, New York–style pies.

Screamer’s has got the classics—”cheese,” “pepperoni,” Hawaiian, Supreme, and Margherita, just to name a few—as well as tons of vegan toppings like almond ricotta, vegan sausage, vegan ham, broccoli rabe, caramelized onions, kale pesto, and avocado.

If this all looks mouthwatering to you but you’re not near New York City, don’t fret! Check out Cruzer Pizza if you’re in Los Angeles, or take a look at our list of the many chain restaurants that offer vegan options all over the country.
