IKEA’s New Food Truck Is About to Bring Free Vegan Meatballs to You

Published by Alanna Ramsier.

This summer, IKEA, as part of its #TogetherWeEat campaign, is launching a food truck that will travel throughout the country and stop at summer festivals. Last year, IKEA stores began offering vegan Swedish meatballs, and the food truck is set to include these, too.

The truck will be giving away a meal of vegan meatballs—called the Veggie California Stack, served with slices of pickled ginger and avocado along with a dollop of wasabi Vegenaise—for free.

Chicago’s Wicker Park Fest, which will be held on July 23 and 24, will be the truck’s first stop, followed by the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in New York on July 30. So get ready to enjoy the summer sun, the company of your friends, and delicious, compassionate food.

If the truck doesn’t stop near you, don’t worry! Just check out our list of all the vegan food that your nearest IKEA offers.

With so many options available, going vegan is easier than ever. Take the pledge today!
