Famous ‘Bloody’ Vegan Burger Debuts in California

There are many reasons to live in California: endless sunshine, a gorgeous coastline, and bountiful fresh produce, to name a few. But all that can take a backseat to the new best thing about the Sunshine State: The Impossible Burger is now served there!

The burger is called “impossible” because it tastes and looks remarkably similar to meat (it even bleeds!)—without all the cruelty to cows and environmental damage. Chef David Chang was so impressed that he became the first to serve it at his New York–based Momofuku Nishi restaurant. On the day of its debut, people lined up outside the restaurant, and meat-eaters and vegans alike were both delighted and freaked out by how similar to meat it tastes.

We’re so excited to announce that it’s now available at Jardinière and Cockscomb restaurants in San Francisco as well as Crossroads in Los Angeles. #AllTheFeels
